In this article, I will explain how to free
yourself from the unwanted watchers, prevent them from accessing your Hulu
account again, and how you can best improve the security of your account to
prevent future unauthorized access.
Follow every step of the way carefully to
ensure that you have done everything you need to do to be reassured for the
future. Every skipped step can be seen as a “rift in the foundation” of your
account security. Do yourself a favor and get it right the first time. For the
Hulu activate and Hulu down guide, see our website.
Here we go.
Do a little detective work
Probably the biggest red flag that someone
has used or used your Hulu account other than yourself or someone you have
granted access to is recognizing strange choices in recommended movies or new,
unknown accounts.
You can contact those you know have access to
your Hulu to see if they do. This will help you rule out the possibility of a
hack. At this point, you can start removing people as you see fit. Kick these
freeloaders out!
This tutorial will take you to the Hulu
account page. You can easily access it by clicking on your profile icon (in the
top right corner of the Hulu browser).
This menu option will appear and we will work
from here.
Dig a little deeper
After bothering your family and friends, you
can check if the information about your home device has changed. If this
changes, you may get deeper insight into the type of person currently using
your Hulu account on a spin.
It’s your account, so you should know which
devices are allowed to sync and which aren’t. To view and manage your devices:
1. Head over and sign in to your account page
with your preferred web browser.
2. Find the “Your Account” section and click
“Manage Devices”. Look for “Watch Hulu on Your Devices” on the right.
3. When the window opens, it contains a list
of all the currently registered devices connected to your Hulu account.
4. Unknown or unknown facts that should not
be available can be quickly deleted by clicking Remove next to the device.
Fortunately, Hulu lists the access data here. If you gave your cousin your
password last week, it’s probably their device.
Another interesting option is to log out of
all web browsers except the one you are currently using directly on your PC.
You can do that:
1. When you return to the “Your Account”
section, click “Protect Account”. You can find it under “Privacy and Settings”.
2. In the pop-up window, select the Sign out
of all computers option.
Anyone who is logged into your account from
any computer other than the one you are currently on will be started from that
computer. However, this does not keep you permanently away if you have your
password! If you wondering how many devices Hulu should be on, contact us.
